After Trump Phone Tsai, China Filed A Protest To The US Official



INTERNATIONAL - China protested to the United States as president-elect, Donald Trump, speaking directly by telephone with the President of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen.

Chinese Foreign Ministry conveyed this in a statement released on Saturday (12/03/2016), a few hours after Trump called Tsai.

"We have made an official protest to the US related to it. This is to show, there is only one China in the world. Taiwan is an inseparable part of China," the statement said.

According to the statement of the Foreign Ministry of China, Beijing urged relevant parties in the US to comply with the commitments on the one-China policy, Agence France-Presse.

Also "to handle Taiwan-related issues with caution and avoid unnecessary situations that disrupt the overall China-US relations," he said.

Trump had talked directly with President Tsai. Step Trump was clearly distorts US foreign policy since 1979 when formal relations between the two countries severed.

Responding to the news about the phone call, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said they rejected any official or military contracts interaction between the US and Taiwan.
